Q |
How can I send the information to you ? |
A |
You can email the details of your project to us. The easiest
way to do this is to reply to the confirmation email
we send you after you have placed you order. That way all
of you details are already on the email. You can also upload
your files directly to our server from our homepage. If you
need to upload more than 5 files, then send the first five, wait
for the confirmation page to appear, go back and send more.

Q |
What format should the files be in ? |
A |
For photos or other images, any format that will open in your
web browser will be OK We prefer images in jpeg (.jpg)
format. The main thing is the size of the files. New high
resolution digital cameras take great photos, but the files can
be huge. These will not only take a long time to upload
(depending on the speed of your connection), but they will
also take up unnecessary space on our server. We don't
need very high resolution images. Images which are more
than good enough for what we need are normally between 1
and 2 Mb.
All drawings should be in either AutoCad (.dwg or .dxf)
format, Adobe reader format (.pdf) or scanned as a jpeg
(.jpg). Adobe is the most universal format for exchanging
documents of any kind. If the drawing has been prepared on
another variety of CAD system it can normally be saved as a
pdf.
The file type extensions which can be uploaded to our server
are:
dwg dxf pdf jpg jpeg doc docx gif wpd bmp html jp2 jpe png
txt tif xls zip

Q |
Can we send information by post ? |
A |
We are set up to do all of our business electronically. This is
why we can offer a great service at a very competitive
price. If there is something that just cannot be sent over the
internet, then you can send it by post.

Q |
I only have a few hand drawn sketches, is this enough? |
A |
For simple alterations like knocking out a loadbearing wall,
most probably yes. Just scan them and send them.

Q |
Can my architect send you the information to you directly? |
A |
Yes. The information can be sent in the normal way by
anyone, either by email or using the file upload page on the
website. If someone else sends the files then they should
make it clear what job / customer it is, if this is not on the
drawing.
