KSA Consulting Engineers Limited Engineers Conditions of Engagement
Client: ........................... Property address : ............................ ............................ ............................ ............................ These Conditions of Engagement describe the terms under which we will be
employed and the services we will provide. Our fee quotation for carrying out the design work, preparing structural
calculations, drawings and sketch details as necessary is £ plus VAT (including
expenses). The information provided will
be in a form suitable for approval under the Building Regulations. It will not include working drawings, unless
this is specifically stated in our quote. When the work is done from drawings, we will assume that the information
on the drawings is correct and we will not make a site visit. Where no drawings are available we will make the necessary arrangements
to inspect the property, and this will be allowed for in our quotation. Only accessible parts of the property will be
inspected. Our inspection will be aimed at obtaining the information necessary
to carry out the design work and it should not be regarded as a survey of the
property to assess its condition or to find defects. The extent of our design will be limited to the specific areas we have
been instructed to design. The Engineer will use reasonable skill, care and diligence in carrying
out the design work. If the checking engineers require additional calculations or site
investigations to be carried out, then these will be charged for separately. The design will be provided for the sole use of the named Client and
their professional
advisors. It is not to be reproduced to a third party, without
the permission of this firm. Sufficient copies of the design details will be provided to the Client
upon issue. Further copies can be
provided at an additional charge. The copyright of the design belongs to KSA Consulting Engineers Limited. The Client will be entitled to cancel this instruction. If work has already started on the design
then we reserve the right to charge for this work. Revisions to the design will be charged at an additional agreed rate. In the case of cancellation by the Engineer, the reason will be
explained to the Client. It is our standard office procedure that the design details will only be
released once we have received payment of our fee account. On completion of the design work, an invoice
will be issued for the total amount agreed.
Once payment is received, the design details will be issued, to the
Client / local authority as appropriate. Construction work should not be started until the design has been
approved by the Local Authority / NHBC if this is required. Should you have any questions or comments, you can contact us on (01530 560575). Acceptance of Conditions of
